Reduce Chances For Diabetes And Exercise More For Better Metabolic Health
A single session of exercise boosts metabolic health for insulin sensitive overweight patients according to a recent study. This shows that even a solitary bout of exercise helps obese individuals increase their body’s fat-burning rate and improve their metabolic health. In other words, reducing the chance of diabetes and exercising for better health. I wanted you, dear blogger, to know this immediately, in case this is all the time you have to dedicate to this post - possibly even encouraging some one you know to reduce their chance of diabetes and exercise right now! The rest of my post continues with alarmingly one out of every three Americans is obese. These individuals are at greater risk for additional diseases, since obesity leads to other health problems, such as diabetes and exercise may seem a difficult burden.
Complications from obesity are associated with an abnormal fat metabolism in the muscle. The accumulated fat by-products inside the muscle affect insulin resistance. To avoid the build up of fat by-products, fat must either be burned up, as in exercise, or stored, as benign fat, in the muscles.

A team of researchers has examined the effect of exercise on fat accumulation. In one session the women overate and did not exercise; in a follow-on session they overate and did exercise. The researchers found that:
- the body’s fat-burning oxidation rate was reduced after one day of overeating;
- conversely, just one session of exercise increased the rate of fat-burning oxidation; and
- exercise increased the amount of fat that would eventually be stored in the muscle.
The findings indicate that even one bout of exercise helps to reduce the fat by-products inside the muscle, which affects the insulin sensitivity. The findings also suggest that a single session of exercise guides muscle fat towards oxidation (being burned up) thereby avoiding the accumulation of fat by-products. To make a long story short, exercise decreases everyone’s insulin resistance, therefore reducing the chances of developing diseases such as type 2 diabetes. And that is very good news!! Reduce your chance of diabetes and exercise your way towards good health!
